The facilities are not only electrical equipment in the AIST
but also research and demonstration facilities and showcases
in Japan.
'Solar Gate' at
the entrance
The entrance to the AIST Tsukuba Center PV System is
impressively decorated with transmission type PV modules
that form the main gate and the roof of a commuter bus
stop. The gate is illuminated at night.
'Solar Photovoltaic
Pavilion'
Six models of PV modules (four types of materials, such as monocrystal
Si, polycrystal Si, amorphous Si, and heterojunction Si) are arrayed in this
location. (Place: Central 3)
'Solar Photovoltaic
Parking'
Photovoltaic facilities are applied as a sunshade in the parking lot.
(Place: Central 2 Peripehral and etc.)
Energy Center
The Photovoltaic facilities are well suited to the slopes of the Energy
Center. This method of installing PV modules can make effective use of
unused spaces such as riverbanks and fallow fields.
BIPV
System
Two BIPV(Building-Integrated Photovoltaic) systems were introduced as curtain
walls of the buildings.(Place:Tsukuba Headquarters and IT Collaborative
Research Center and etc.)
